Recipe: Stuffed Fillo Shells

The first time I made fillo shells they were a big hit. Small enough to grab and eat in one bite and big enough for flavorful stuffing of any kind. They are versatile and can be served for appetizers or desserts. I experimented the first time with leftover chicken stuffing from a Mexican Lasagna that I filled into the shells. A small dollop of salsa and topped off with cheese, yum! Fillo shells can be baked in the oven or served as is. These shells weren’t easy to find but are available at Wal-mart, Kroger, and from Athens Pastries who produces the product.

What’s in your fillo?
